I promised that I would update everyone on my experiments with using 4" and 6" lightsicks on my Offshore planer boards. IMHO I would suggest using 4" lights attached with plastic tie downs (reuseable item) to the flag. Keep lightstick up high on the flag and the tattle flags work great. Green is definetly the best color to see.

6" sticks attached w/stool caps placed on bracket did not work as well in rough seas. I would not advise using this setup.

I like the 3 in ones and the color Red. Just personal
taste, they are cheaper also.

Skeeter,
We actually tried both red and green light sticks. The green ones were definitely brighter and easier to see. IMHO

I used the small bobber light sticks that are expensive and are not big enough to read the board. Where can a guy buy the 3" or 4" sticks for less or in bulk?
I live in Mn TC area.

Thanks

Sunshine is right about the address to the web site I have been getting my glow sticks. I have contacted many sites and found that one to be the best so far as being able to work with. He is a new company and willing to work with you. Yesterday I ordered 1000 of them and of course he gave me a discount off price stated on web site. I mean it you guys once you try these 3 inch sticks you will throw your blinking red light away. I like the red but many of the guys like green. These things glow for I think up to 8 hrs. You don't need it for 8 hrs?? Right get it in the freezer ASAP and use the same stick for another evening of night fishing. Any questions email me.
