Just received T8 tiller 20" shaft, it drags in the water when I place it in the lock position. It runs OK when I trim it all the way up. Is this how you guys are running them on 20" transoms? I would think that it would bounce around in rough water. It does have some play in it at full trim, but no play when locked in. Looking for opinions and advice.

I doubt you need a 20 inch shaft on a 20 inch transom as you're not mounting the kicker on the centerline. I run a 20 inch shaft kicker on a 25 inch transom & it's still plenty long.

I use a 2X2 instead of the bar and this brings the engine up enough to prevent dragging. I also strap it to prevent any other movement. This has worked great for me.

I've got a 25 inch shaft on a 20 inch transom, but the depth of the middle part of your transom has nothing to do with how long of a shaft you need. You need at least enough shaft to hit the waterline and not pop out in swells etc. No different than a bowmount.

I run my T8 all the way up and then lock the steering part over to the side and it doesn't move at all.

Wishin' for rain in the 303.

I'm sure this has been posted before, but I just got my T-8 with power trim and wonder if anybody is using a Bracket Pro with them for added support?

I run mine all the way up, locked down on the right side with the tension bar. No wood, no bracket pro... Don't need it!

Tilt it up.
Everybody else is. That is the right length motor for a Lund.
