I have fished for steelhead w/ slip bobbers but never walleye.

I plan on giving it a try in the next few weeks. I know of a few spots I want to try this at, how would this work on a mudline?

Also, I know of a point that drops into some deep water. I have caught fish with bottom bouncers and spinners, and jigs. I'd like to give the Slip bobber a try here?

Any advice?

The point would be great to fish this system with, as for the mudline, I would think something with a little more flash would work better. I fish mudlines whenever I can find them. Some people figure it out pretty quickly, some dont, but if you find water that goes from brown to grey to clear, get in that grey water and stay there. I have caught fish 10 feet from people who just couldnt figure out that the water they were in was too clean or too dirty. You have to fish where the fish are.

I typically only pull the slip floats out if I know a spot holds fish. Hopefully you are in a state that allows more than one rod. If yes, put at least one rig out with a large chub or sucker. If a sucker, make sure it's off the bottom. It will only struggle if it feels vulnerable.
