Minn Kota - 824-54 Autopilot

I have a Minn Kota 824-54 #48 Thrust that I am about to sell.
As this motor is a 24 volt motor, the question was asked if it can be rigged for a 12 volt system. I couldn't tell the guy I'm selling it to if it can/can't. Can anyone help me with this question ??

The motor will not run properly on 12V's. I just sold one simular on E bay and got a little more than I expected for it. Not a bad way to sell it.
