ok all i posted here through out the first of the year as i have been chaseing walleyes and trying to catch a few. well this year has finally changed some for me. the past 3 weeks i have been catching some walleyes although nonne have any real size to them 14-16inches is the largest i have ever caught. now i have not been able to catch a single one on the lake but i have been able to catch them below the dam useing minnows and worms. now i have met an older feelow down their who uses live perch about 3-4 inches long. this man is always catching more fish then me. no matter what baits i use or how i present it he seams to out fish me with a simple three way rig and and the pateince to let it set. i am going to try to figure out where he is catching his bait because so far i havent been able to catch any perch that small. but if anyone has any ideas what i can do to mabey keep up with him please let me know. i normally fish carolina rigged worms and minnows or ill bounce jigs tiped with worms and minnows. but i also have been useing minnow immitating lures dave

Don Gibbons at Stockton Mini Mart normally has some small sun perch for the cat fishermen. I have been catch and releasing some W's in the three and four pound class lately. Maybe three or four per day. Nice fat fish. But mostly smaller. Lots of 14's. Right now 20 to 30 fish @ day is not impossible. Put back the better fish or we will only see the 14's forever.

One other thing, Missouri Walleye Anglers is ponsoring a walleye tournament out of Orleans Trail Marina this Sat(weigh in 4:00 Sat) and Sunday June 2-3 weigh in at 1:00. You will see limits of fairly nice W's there.
