Any tips on propping {SS} a 20' walkthru alaskan with yammy 4-stroke 115. Boat will spend 90% of its time on LOTW, so I kinda need a prop that will have good rough water ability. Good mid-range performance over top speed.

Thanks for any suggestions

A very good rough water prop is a four blade and your options are a Yamaha performance series or a Mercury Trophy with the Flow-Torque hub. The problem is the Yamaha makes an 18p which is the smallest and Mercury makes a 17p with pVs which might work better depending on what pitch you need. Miksup, who post on this site might know if this will work because he has this prop on his rig and it works nice for him. Maybe he will post.

I'm running a 90 honda four stroke on my 20 ft alaskan. Getting speeds near forty mph with 17p 3 blade mich prop. Hope this helps.
