I noticed that the bunks of my trailer are scratching the bottom of my glass boat. Is this normal (my first glass boat and first bunk trailer)? How can I eliminate or reduce this? It shows up because the bottom of my boat is black.
Any advice would really be appreciated.

Look at your bunks. You mak have sand or another type of grit on them.
Many feel it necessary to use a lot of reverse power to back their boats off the trailer verses backing in slightly deeper. When doing this, the water turbulence sucks sand off the bottom and ultimately ends up sitting on your bunks. When you load your boat at the end of the day, well you obviously know what happens. I always get the boat deep enough to float it off. Good luck...

I have got a 1785 Wrangler Yar-Craft which is fully maroon polyfleck and I have run into the same issues with mine. My scratches on the bottom of my hull are down to the white fiberglass and I have only had the boat on and off the trailer 6 times!! I guess I could understand backing the boat off the bunks could put sand or grit on your bunks but I have my partner back me in far enough to float the boat off.
