I caught a trophy eye on Saturday and didn't have the gumption to keep it for a mount. I figured I could get a replica mount since I have some really good pictures of it and length and girth measurments (31.5" x 17").
Can anyone recommend a good place to get a replica mount? Can they ship it if it is out of state? What should I expect to pay?

Nice fish, Eric....sure it was a walleye?!? :)
I just had a 31" done at Artistic Anglers in Duluth, MN. I paid $8.50/inch, plus $75 or something like that for driftwood and fake rocks. Their number is 800-544-7466. The dude's name is Matt Yernatich. That $8.50 was the sportshow special, but just tell him you spoke to him at the Mpls show or something.
Another outfit is Fibertech in Brainerd, MN. I don't have their number off hand, but somebody will. My buddy has had a couple fish done there, and they are OK.
If your in a hurry, go to Fibertech. Mine took about 9 months, but was worth the wait!
Is your e-mail working? Let me know, as I have a pic of my mount I could send you.
Nice fish!!

Eric,
So when you found this floating walleye that some jet skier ran over did you a net it first to bring it on your boat or did you snag it first????hehehehehe
Hey all kidding aside....Nice fish.

The best work I have ever seen was by Tony Cannova in Denver. He has done a couple of pike for me and a 28 Lb. steelhead for a friend. They are spectacular. These were skin mounts but I know he does fiberglass replicas as well. Don't know his current pricing, but it will not be cheap. His number is 303-744-0147. By the way, where did you catch this monster?

Eric,
I've used both Artistic Anglers and Fibertech. I agree with Dave. Artistic Anglers was a little nicer quality - Fibertech was a little cheaper and they were VERY fast. $8.50 is very cheap for either outfit. Believe I paid between $10-$11 per inch. Both do nice work - but for that "one" wallmounter - I'd go with Artistic Anglers. You can probably find Fibertech by doing a web search.
NICE FISH!
