I need some good directions to a Lorain public boat launch into lake Erie . I will be comeing from Pa on the Ohio turnpike.
Get off at the Elyria exit(rt 57) go north to rt #2, go west to Broadway(Middle Ridge exit)this turns into broadway. turn north on this road and follow it into town, watch for signs to the public launch ramp. IF you are looking for the Hot Waters Ramp, keep going north on Broadway until you go past the Police station and watch for the sign there saying boat launch. this will take you past the more advertised boat ramp, and to the Hot Waters Ramp. good luck and good fishin. if you dont understand this just give me a call at 1-888-855-9032, ask for Den, and i will try to give you the directions on the telephone.

Both launches are in good shape. as far as the hot spots out of lorain, it is just now turning on. there have been some good fish around the elyria waterworks, thats west of lorain, and some taken closer to beaver in 28 to 33 foot of water. the sandbar hasnt started to hold fish yet, but anyday it should start there. good luck and good fishin. sorry i couldnt be of more help right now, but thats fishin here right now.
