Cracks

I've had my Ranger 619 about 3 weeks now and decided to wash and wax it this weekend. While waxing it I found two cracks, one on each side. One is about 3/4" long vertically just above the stripe in the middle, and the other is horizontal on the other side up by the bow. Should I expect some minor cracks like this as normal. Or is this uncomommon on new Ranger?

Well, If he won't take it I will. Mine cracked and it is aluminum! :)
