My fishing partner has a new Vantage that goes dead when it is turned to the side--mainly one direction-but not always.....the prop will stop turning, but the indicator light still shows "ON". Then, when he turns the handle side to side, pushes the on/off switch, who knows what////it will all of a sudden take off---no rhime or reason to what makes it go....ANY THOUGHTS or similar trouble??? Will be taking it to the Minnkota repairman--but wondering if it's a common problem.
Same guy has a front Minnkota Maxxum--on the top of the head is a red indicator that shows where the motor head is pointed, as the foot pedal is rocked---the arrow just spins(with your finger)--doesn't turn with the motor--so doesn't show where pointed---Any easy fix there???---likely headed to the MK Man too.....just had to ask here first...THANKS.
