Has any tackle manufacturer out there thought of answering the call and knocking off the original Thunderstick design? What was wrong with the original, that they had to go and tinker with it? I'm sure it'll come back, much like Coca-Cola did, as "The Thunderstick Classic" for about 30% mark-up. Dammit...I had no problem with the original design nor the original color patterns. Hey...is anybody out there listening??????

I have an idea.Maybe they can make just 300,000 of them and we can pay 7 bucks for them.

Since Normark now owns the patent, our chances of seeing the real T-sticks again is probably about ZERO! They fixed it for us so it wouldn't have to be tuned right out of the box. That glue on lip looks cheap and according to several previous postings will actually come off fairly easily.
I'm not sure how long a patent runs on an out-of-date lure style but I am hoping someone will re-introduce these lures as soon as they can copy it legally.

I left a post similar to yours yesterday and got a few responses. It's a shame that they went and screwed around with the thundersticks as I was having pretty good look catching walleyes on the firetiger color in high, muddy and stained water. These new ones seem to give the lure a much bulkier and less-slim profile and a less natural look.

Since losing the last of the old thunderticks, I've since started using the new aqua firetiger with the blue top and the hotrod stripes on it, and have yet to catch a walleye on it.

When I heard rumblings that Normark was taking over Storm, I went to 3 different Fleet Farm stores and bought over $100 worth of Jr Thundersticks and Deep Jr Thundersticks that they were selling out for $1.99. It`s a shame how Normark screwed up a great bait. Now I`m in the process of stocking up on Wiggle Warts. HotnTots will be the next ones to bite the dust. Trying to monopolize the walleye crankbait market is all Normark is trying to do. If you have a strong liking for certain Storm baits, go stock up just in case. They won`t rot. Beav

I loved how all the paint would come off of them when a jig touched them. That alone in my book made them a second class lure. (Love the hot-n-tots though)

I was digging in the bargin bins at Fleet Farm. Picked up $30 worth of the old style thunderstick and thunderstick Jr. in my favorite colors. Still looking for more in those colors(Perch, Chrome). I don't know if the new will work or not but I do know that the old ones work very well. I can't figure out why someone would go through the trouble of buying a company who has a successful product and totally changing it. We'll have to see if it's a good thing or not. Anyone catching any fish on these new thundersticks? What colors?

Have you seen the new baits from Cotton Cordell? they look like thundersticks (deep) . Don't know how they run, or whether they are effective.
