View Full Version : Speaking of electric knives.......
I have used a American Angler Filet Knife now for years and just love it, wouldn't filet a fish with anythingelse. Even have two sets of blades for it. Question is, does anyone know how to sharpen serated blades or know of a web site that does? Even serated blades can only cut through so many rib bones before they start getting a little dull. Thanks in advance.

Hey Bo, I have a dimond sharpner its round and about6 inches long. I make a pass or 3 through each grove in the knife.
Takes a little time but sure does the trick. I sharpen it
every other time I use it. Works great. Nels

I've heard they don't recommend sharpening, new blades are what I do for about $7.00 every 2yrs.
Spyderco Knives makes an excellent sharpener called the Tri-Angle Sharpmaker which is designed to work with both plain edge and serrated edge knives. This is by far, the best sharpener I've ever used. They have a website www.spyderco.com which should show the Sharpmaker. I would assume that you can find one at just about any knive shop or contact Spyderco for a dealer listing for your area.
If you have a Dremel tool grinder, use one of the small cylinder stones and you can do a good job and it doesn't take too long.
