My new 9.9 merc 4 stroke says 9.9 rc on the
carb what does rc stand for?
The dealer tried to sell me a reconditioned one
and I passed and paid extra for a new one.
Did he slip me the reconditioned one?

Just guessing, but is it a remote unit rather than a tiller (as in remote controls)??

I'm looking at addind a 9.9 myself. What did you pay for it, if I can ask. I don't have any idea about the price for one. I haven't gotten that far yet. Thanks for your help!

I believe you would pay anywhere from $2100 to $3000 depending on features such as remote controls, electric start, shaft length, power tilt, etc...

I think It was about 2700 with electric start
power trim and tilt with remote control.
