You must be looking to start something! This will probably get a little ugly.
I haven't used any St. Croix's but I just got done building my fourth Loomis. Wow! I'll never buy another mass produced rod again! The sensitivity is amazing. Even on the GL2's and GL3's. I can hardly wait to get my IMX done. And if money is no object you might as well spend the 3 or 4 hundred for a GLX. Personally, I think that St. Croix's low end goes lower than Loomis', and Loomis' high end goes higher than St. Croix. I'm sure you would be overjoyed with the SCIII's, Avids, GL3's, IMX's and GLX's. Grab one of each, and pick the one you like best. They are both top notch! My wife likes her St. Croix, I love my Loomis. We got tired of argueing about it a long time ago! ROFL!
