Yup -- have a 14 ft with 9.9 for small lake use. Makes me feel like I did years ago. Simple, clean, and fun.

Yep! I have a 18 foot Astro but kept getting scratches and gouges on the hull from the river I fish. The wife got tired of seeing the bills from the gelcoat and fiberglass repairs so she said buy something made of steel! So, I went out and bought a Alumacraft Lunker V16 LTD with a 40 tiller.
Now she says, all the boats in the driveway is a eyesore.
(Now if only she will say "build a new garage in the back for those things".)

Yep,

Got a Lund 2250 Sport Cabin for Lake of the Woods and a Lund 1750 Tyee for everything else. Just wish I had more time to use them both. I guess you can tell I am kind of partial to Lund.

Yep, a 20.5 foot Hydrasport Vector CC, 200hp Rude and a 1984 14 foot Lund Pro Angler with a 25hp Rude. The Lund is in great shape, fully finished (factory) deck interior...actually it's a better bigger water design than the new Lunds of equal size. Great for winter & close to shore (Lake Michigan) fishing..and rivers...good for simple fishing, though if needed it's fully rigged up to and including downriggers & a VHF.

I've got a 22' Sportcraft for Lake Erie and I'm looking for an inexpensive and lightweight aluminum that I can toss upside down on top of my 4 wheeler on the trailer and haul to the UP for fishing the small lakes, A couple clamp on seats, small tiller and my portable fish finder and a cooler-o-brewskies and TADA!!

My Ranger is fine for big water and when I'm fishing with my son or friends, but when I fish alone on small waters, I like my 15' Jon boat with a 15 Merc 2 stroke. Cisco is correct, It's simple , pure and easy to launch and retrieve on marginal launch sites.

i own a canoe...14ft boat...and 21 ft sylvan...by far the boat i have the most fun is my 14 ft boat....wish it was 16 ft and deeper as i fish in close often with it on lake michigan on top of small local lakes....when the lake is calm we outfish all the big boats perchin because i run my elec motor and move slowly around the anchored big boats and keep on top of the fish...last few yrs i have been fishin out of the little boat when the king salmon and steelhead come in and altho i can catch many more in the big boat with downriggers etc i cast plugs with small rods and 6500 ambassadores and there is nothing like when i get a large king on that rig....the 6500 has a large capacity...320 yds of 10 lb line and sometimes the kings take over 1/2 of the line out....really exciting and would be much harder to do in my large boat...steve

Over the years (there have been a lot of them) I have acquired title to 3 1/2 boats. The 1/2 is an Alumacraft 190 that my brother in law uses all the time except when we go to Wisc to fish salmon. I have an Alumacraft 17' sport canoe for duck hunting with an old 3 hp Johnson. I have a 13 1/2 ft 1946 Alumacraft with a 15 hp Evenrude, portable depth finder etc that I can launch anywhere that I can get the trailer wheels within 10 ft of water. Just last year bought a Alumacraft Magnum 16sc with 40HP 4 cycle Yamaha that I can launch anywhere I can get the wheels in the water. Had to build a new garage a few years back so everyone has a home inside. Which do I like the best? The one that I'm fishing in at the time of course.

Kevin,

You sell your Yar-Craft 192 Michigan for the Hydrasport? I saw the pictures you posted of it a while back. Looked sweet. How are you liking it comared to the Yar-Craft?

I have two boats and a canoe. While the canoe and 14' Starcraft with the 9.5 have not been in the water in the last year, I still don't plan on getting rid of them. I use the 16' Crestliner all the time, but I know there are a lot of situations they won't work. Plus, if I ever win the lottery, I am buying that place on the water.

12' Alumacraft car topper (4 sale)
Can't buy a new one without selling two old ones (Mrs. BD's rules)

Yes sir!

I have a 2025 Lund LE Limited with a 225 opti and a 15hp bigfoot kicker. And I also have a 17.5 Alumacraft center console with a 70hp evinrude and a 8hp kicker we use strickly for handlining. Both are great boats but the Lund is brand new so I'll wait until I get some more hours on it before a offer any real opinion other than that.

Lund Pro-V 1775
Sea King 14' w/ 15HP Evinrude

Each allows me access to places the other boat wouldn't. For the middle ground (e.g. Detroit R.), I take the small boat when fishing solo and the big boat when bringing someone else along. The 14 footer leads in number of trips taken this year 10-2.

Yep, I moved the Yarcraft in favor of more of an offshore boat. The Yarcraft did very well on big water, no complaints at all. I wanted something I could run on saltwater as well as fresh. I hope to be spending some time around the North Carolina coast. The HS will have no problem wandering around those waters (most of the time). So far I love the boat. Running sloppy water standing up (or on the leaning post) with this hull is a breeze...a 22 degree deadrise surely makes a difference. Fresh & raw water washdown, non-skid deck, self bailing cockpit...thing is built like a tank..boat & motor (no gas) is around 3300#, kevlar reinforced hull, no wood anywhere, all bronze thruhulls with seacocks below the waterline, fuel/water separator, hydraulic steering, livewell, insulated fish boxes, built in insulated cooler...I found it in Miami Beach, flew down & yanked it back with UHaul truck. Managed to pick it up for $4000 less than market value (I had it surveyed) with 80 hours on it. Basically a brand new boat & motor with a new aluminum trailer(just had it built) that won't rust or stone chip. Brakes on all 4 wheels, Goodyear Marathons, torsion axels..it's an awesome rig so far. I'm surprised boats like this aren't more common up here. I'm looking for a Evinrude 9.9 4-stroke high thrust (20 inch shaft, white) kicker...no luck so far. If you run across one let me know.
