Question--does the green Power light flash all the time on the new panel? I have one, and both the bow and stern panel lights flash constantly and no matter what I do I can't shut them down. Kind of annoying to have them flashing all the time! Thanks

Thanks for the reply! Doesn't make a lot of sense to have that darn light flashing all the time!

I have a 2001 Yarcraft and the panel lights do not flash. Do I understand you correctly when you say they are on ALL the time, even when everything is off? If that is the case, you have a problem.

The only time the green panel lights come on is when the panel switch is in the on position.

Incorrect.

The green lights on the panel are supposed to flash whenever there is power hooked up to them. If yours don't, you must have a short somewhere.

My timer/delay light flashes all the time! Must be the correct way to do it. The boat came with a master power turn-off however it was not connected. Should I consider putting this between the battery and all the various connections--or just not worry about it and let the light flash?
Thanks!

Well then I think we are talking about 2 different panels. I do not have a master power switch. Power is delivered to the panels all the time.

I don't think we are! I think I did not explain myself properly. For clarification--the timer/delay light is the flashing one--all the time-=- this "master switch" I am talking about is something that as I understand it can be installed to cut all power. It is one of those round dials that allows you to switch between batteries or turn them off if you desire. As I said it came with the boat and as it was explained to me can be installed if desired! Make sense?

I have the same panels .The green light flashes any time the system has power . I also have the round battery disconnect that you use to disconnect or turn the power off to everything connected to the main battery . When this is turned to off the green lights stop flashing as there is no power to them . I turn mine to off whenever I'm not using the boat , helps to eliminate draining the battery . I would recommend hooking it up .

Makes sense. Now the big question--can a person with 10 thumbs and no electrical knowledge do it or should I have the dealer do it?
Thanks!

Mr ducks, you should set your master power switch to off. I'm not sure the high tech panel is such a good idea. In fact, the livewells is one of the few things I don't like about my 2002 especially after hearing about panel troubles. Mine came with the pump wires reversed so the back panel filled the front and viceversa. I don't like not being able to fill the front well from the rear of the boat either. It is also a pain not being able to drain the livewells dry. Minor gripe about a great boat! Back to the power switch--if you have the switch on timer fill, it will continue cycling after you are on the trailer if you forget to turn it off so it is a good idea to get used to turning off the master switch. Also nobody can mess with your trim, controls, etc when it is off.
