I was returning from a fishing trip in South Dakota and blew a tire on the trailer. The thing just shredded and threw rubber everywhere. After changing the tire and buying new tires (the other tire had a broken belt)we continued on our way. When I got home I discovered that the loading bunk on the side where I had the blow-out was missing. The darn thing had actually broken off where it attaches to the trailer. That stuff is at least 1/4 inch iron and all I had left were the bolts and base! I couldn't believe it! Has anything like this happened to anyone else? I figured that those bunks would be there for the life of the trailer. I replaced both of them for about $100 from Cabela's so I'm ready to roll again. Anyway, I was just wondering if this is something that occasionally happens.

Yes something like that happen to me, I went fishing and when finished, loaded my boat on my bunk trailer, got home and walked by my boat and saw the bunk laying almost sideways and the bracket that holds the bunk was stuck through the bottom of my 28 day old boat. I about had a heart attack, Called my dealer (Starks) and they took care of the whole thing, (new Boat) no cost to me. now thats a good dealer. I check mine every chance I get now
