I am wondering if anyone has tried the Comprop propellers. They claim to be at least as good or better than an aluminum prop in performance.Thanks.

I have a 4-blade Compprop on my 35hp. It is enormously quieter with less vibration, better cornering, better out of the hole, but I did lose a bit of top end. All things considered, I am glad I have it. If you break one, you don't ruin your motor and they are cheap enough to replace. Not sure what they'd be like on bigger hp's.

I used one for years on a 90hp OMC. The handling is different, really an advantage in rough water.
They are excellent for use in hazardous waters, like rivers, and as a spare prop. They also will give you an inexpensive preview of the handling characteristics of a 4-bladed prop vs. a three-blade.
