I mounted a small battery charger on my Rebel this afternoon and I'm second guessing my choice of location.
There is a divider between the 2 batteries and the gas tank and I mounted it on the side of the divider which has the 2 batteries. The charger is free and clear as far as I can tell and looks good, however I'm just not sure about the location. I have roughly 6-8 inches of clearance all the way around, but was wondering if this space was too "inclosed" for safety purposes? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Should be ok,,they get a bit hot,but I mounted mine in the small compartment in the bow, beneath the front trolling motor deck on my rebel-v.Have not had any problems there. (my trolling battery under front casting deck). I think there would even be more air circulation where you have yours. I would say that if its high enough off the floor of the compartment,as sometimes you can get lots of water back there when parked at a dock in an all night rain, it should be fine. Most of them are "submersable" but not submersing is better.

Thanks Markg,
I doubt this could be submersed from where I mounted it. If it was, I think I would have more problems than just a ruined charger! Thanks for the info.
