My favorite soft plastic bait of all time is no more! The Vibra Fin leech from Reaction Lures in Louisiana has been discontinued. I have tried just about every soft plastic bait ever concieved and this was by far the best. I have mentioned this bait several times on this website, but I have never seen this bait in anyones tackle box. I just bought 150 of the 3" models from their existing stock. Smallies and walleye's love this bait and I have never found anything that makes big trout "stupid" as this bait does. Only problem is Pike love them too and you can count on loosing a bunch to toothy critters. This bait has an action that is as close to the real thing as possible. I guess I must of been the only one buying them because the owner sounded pretty disgusted when I talked to him. They also have a great line of Lizards and Craws that bass and Pike fisherman will love. their number is 800-256-2075.

Were these carried by Cabelas at one time? I think I have a bunch of them in my plastics bag. I don't think I've ever tried them.

yes they were. I bought a bag once, because I was looking for a good leech imitation. Next time you are throwing twisters give it a try!!!

I'll have to give them a try, I think I bought several colors too. Just my luck, they'll probably outfish everything else and now I won't be able to get them anymore. lol

Neal I was just in a Woods and Water second hand and discontinued items discount store and saw a whole display of Vibra fin lures or what ever. I did not look at them close because they looked like a gimick but I'm going back tonight to have another looksee and maybe I'll pick some up.
I'll let you know exactly what they are later.

If it is the Vibra Fin leech from Reaction Lures, buy them. I caught a 7lb and a 6lb rainbow on my first five casts ever with this lure. I always get strikes on them, even when nothing else is working.

Neal sounds like something to invest in. What exactly are we looking at, I'd kinda like to know cause I'd hate to buy some baits that I make.

Just call the number above and order. I just got another 150 of the 3" model. They come in packs of 15 at about four bucks a pop. They tear easily, but that is what makes their action so effective. I use Gopher tackle Mushroom head jigs that are poured on Owner hooks, wide gap and nothing sharper. They also have a new bait called the Vibra Shad that was designed for Salt water fish. It is much thicker and heavier construction. He threw in a bag of them for me to try on pike this summer. i will test them out on Saturday at Spinney.

Neal before i put in an order think you could help me out and give me a basic description of the products and some hints on teh colors? I knwo you described them in the original post breifly but I would kinda like a lil more detail if its not to big of an imposition.

They have lots of colors, but black is all I have ever needed. Black of course is a leech color, plus it is a natural color in clear water and still highly visable in muddy water. They will send you a free catalog also. It also comes in white which might work as a shad imitation but I have never tried it?
