I made the mistake of relying on the measurements from a Ranger brochure as Gospel truth once. I won't do that again. When I got my Ranger home and tried to park it in my garage I said some very unpleasant things about their measurements and brochures.
Get a tape measure and measure the boat with the motor you're getting yourself. Be careful how you measure. The angle the motor's at makes a difference. Make sure the motor is vertical. In fact, forget the old saying "measure twice cut once". I'd measure three or four times. Also, do you have a garage like mine with a raised platform on the back? If you have to lift the motor to clear that you've got a much longer boat. Been there done that.
I knew my boat would be a fairly tight fit from the git-go based on measuring my garage and comparing that with the length listed in the brochure. Now, after a little "experience" I realize there's lots of different motors out there and they don't all have the same dimensions. I'd also guess each boat doesn't always end up exactly on the same spot on the trailer. If mine had been the length listed on the brochure it would have fit. It didn't. Lot's of grief involved. I ended up with a great fishing boat and a "slightly modified" garage.

Rip Lips, Do you still need help? I have a 2001 with a 225 opti, and swing away tongue. E-mail me if you need me to measure it, and how you want it measured, motor down, motor on transom saver, full tongue, or what?
I sold mine so I can't give you an exact measurement, but the garage door clear opening width is 8'-10-1/2", and the the fender cleared by a max of 3" on each side, so I'd say you need 8'-6" to have a chance of getting it in and out without problems. (boat actaul width +/- 8'-4-1/2")
Length I'm no help on.

Yes Muskeez I do need some #s.Measure from outside of tire to outside of tire on the trailor. My 619 is 98in, with the 620 being wider I would think the trailor is also. Then could you measure from top of hood(back) on motor to front of trailor.I will be running a 6 in plate so ill add the 6inches.My dealer is at the show this weekend so Ill be picking it out after I see what new goodies Ranger has for 2003.Thanks alot and see you on the water.

Rip Lips, Here's what mine measures, measured 3 times and got plus or minus 1/2", no guarantees yours will be the same but this should get you close.
With motor (225 Optimax) down, skeg almost on cement and 6" Panther Jackplate on it is 277 1/2" (23'1 1/2") from the farthestpoint of the hood up to the front of the trailer with the tongue swung away. If you leave the tongue extended you will have to add another 22".
Width was 99" from outside to outside of each tire.
Have fun with the ordering process, it was about all we could talk about for months, especially choosing colors.

Thanks alot Muskeez, for taking the time measure it out for me.See you on the water.Jamie Friebel.Npaa#166.
Not to stick my nose in , but .. the fenders stick out beyond the edge of the tires. Just be sure it will fit before you spend your money.

Jamie won't be spending money on the boat....but will be spending money to make his garage bigger!! LOL !! That's a tough problem to have.
Congrats again for the big RCL win at Bago.

ETT, Thanks for bringing that point up about the fenders. Could you and others look at your trailers and check that situation? On the port side my tires are even with the fenders and on the starboard side the tires stick out almost an inch past the fender, intersting...? I wouldn't think it would hurt anything and the axle doesn't appear to be bent as the tires are wearing evenly.

Muskeez,I wouldnt worry about your fenders my 619 does the same thing I believe its how the fenders were alined or how they are shimmed from the factory.I think my Q has been answered and the new girl should fit (tight but fit).My overall lenght is 25'3 from door of garage to back of lean-to at 6'2(for motor height)then my width at the garage door is 8'10 1/2" and 19' back from there in the lean-to opening i have 8'7",the lean-to is offset 8" from the garage door opening.I will have to throw a little sand down to shift the trailor to get here in the lean-to opening but it will work. Its going to be a pain in the @#* but its never in the garage for long anyway.LOL!!!See you on the water.

Rip Lips-
Just bought ETT's 2002 620, I too had the same questions. Here's the breakdown on measurements with a 225 Optimax w/out jackplate, with breakaway tonque.
Length: 22' 6" (from farthest point on lower unit to breakaway tonque)
Width: 8' 3" (from farthest point on fenders)
Heigth: 5' 8" (from ground to top of Optimax when motor is completely in the down position)
