I need some help finding some bait for a kids fishing day I put on every year in Madison, WI. We normally have between 200 & 250 kids. I am looking for spikes and/or worms. I need the bait by June 14th so I can get things seperated into smaller containers.

If anyone has any suggestions please send me an email at shogland@chorus.net.

For anyone in the Madison area. the kid's day is at Lakeview park in Middleton and the first 200 kids get rods, reels and small tackle boxes. Lunch is provided and the DNR dumps Bluegill in the lake for us.

Thank you,

Great idea Scott and keep up the great efforts. We have developed a significant urban angling program in Manitoba aimed at first time anglers and kids. Last year we provided over 1,000 youth with the opportunity to go fishing. Half of them got free rods and reels.

We also have developed a kids fishing league. It operates like any other sport league. Teams consist of six to eight kids and two coaches. This is our first full season as last year was a pilot project. Check us out at www.mwf.mb.ca/league/index.html.

For more information on our programs, please contact us. I monitor the site on a continuous basis and find it very informative.

Cabelas will dropship bait 500 Nightcrawlers $39.99, 500 waxworms $14.99, 500 mealworms $12.99. I'd double check on delivery you wouldn't want a back order. Rates seem reasable I've never used it myself. Good luck with the kids.
