Good Morning Guys,
I just purchased a X-71 with 200 kHz, 20 degree low profile skimmer transducer. The Lowrance instruction manual said to mount transducer "according to transducer's installation manual". There was not a manual enclosed in the box.
Do I mount this on the transom like others I have mounted? I usually mount them so the bottom of the transducer is about 1/2 inch below the bottom of the transom away from any ribs in the hull and about 14 inches away from the main motor. The X-71 is about the same as the X-91 and the Eagle FishMark 160.
Any help would be appreciated. I would like to install the unit tonight and get ta' fishing tomorrow.
