Anybody have one of these boats? What can you tell me about it? I'm looking at getting one with a Yamaha F115......I really appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks!

Posted same question a month or so ago on FTL's board and did not get much response. I haven't pulled the trigger yet but it's in the works. Just need to figure out how to get it in the garage! (This boat has a 95" beam!) Haven't decided on motor yet, everybody tells me to max it out or I'll be sorry. I believe it's rated for a 140hp. Was in a buddies Mr Pike 17 last week with the 135 OPTI and that thing gets out of the way in a hurry (topped out @ 55mph w/3 guys according to the gps)but I've heard bad things about the Mercs. For what it's worth my minds made up on the boat just the motor in question. Good Luck!

Yea....I have decided to wait for awhile. I have a 2001 Explorer 1675 with a 90 HP Merc. I really like the 1675. It is a very stable boat and handles well. I was going to order a 1800 last week but the motor situation confuses me. I'm not sure if the F115 will be enough.....I know I don't want to buy a kicker too. I spoke with a guy who has the 1800 with a F115 and yet his only regret is not getting a bigger motor. The F115 pushes the boat at 42 accordingly to the GPS. It would be a very nice rig. I found that boat with the F115 and a Spartan trailer for 17,300........I'm waiting too see some of these on the water next summer and see what others have done.

Good luck!!!!
