Hello All, What is a good price for a 18ft lund fisherman series, with a 90hp 2 cycle , drive on trailer worth? Brand spankin new? Also if you know any dealers that have the best prices for lunds near lake erie. Is it true also that, if you go to the Lund plant that is the best price you can get? Thanks in advance.

First just a quick note. I'm afraid that rig with a 90HP would be underpowered. I run a 135 on my 1800 Fisherman and am happy with it but would probably not drop down more than that (it's rated for a 175).. With a 135 I have a decent holeshot and run mid/upper 40's at WOT..

I don't know if New York Mills is the cheapest place to buy a Lund, but can tell you that I paid considerably less in Southern Minnesota than what I was quoted in Port Clinton (just shopping on a rain day during our annual trip last year).. So due to shipping costs there MAY be some truth to that, or it could just be differing regional prices (dealers can better help you out here)

Good luck

Much closer than Minnesota is McCurdy's Marine in Kenosha, WI, just across the Illinois border on Lake Michigan north of Chicago. Bruce McCurdy is owner and does lots of business in the midwest. Have him quote you a price.

I'll also go along with McCurdys bought 2 Lunds from him already. Price is ALWAYS cheaper than anybody around and he's a Duck hunter to.

I got the best deal in my area here and the limited experience I have had with their service dept. has been very pleasant so far.

Good Luck

Just thought you should know, in last week's Sunday Star Tribune that Crystal-Pierz Marine here in the Twin Cities area had an ad for 1800 Fisherman with a 150 horse 2 stroke and a Karavan galvanized trailer. The price $16,100 and change, it didn't list any options but maybe you should check out their website and give them a call or an email.

I'd check the dealer in Port Clinton. That business is under new ownership and is getting a real good reputation. I agree that a 90 will be underpowerered. I run that model with a 125 and am happy with the performance. But I use it on Lake Erie mostly and don't ski or anything so speed isn't an issue for me. I can still run 35 on flat water. For the service, I bought local. If you live in Ohio it's a long drive to Wi. or Il. for service. I get priority service when I need it from my local dealer. With a Merc. 125, custom trlr and 1800 fisherman it should sell between 19 and 20,000

You cannot buy a boat direct from the factory in New York Mills. They won't do it. You have to go to a dealer

You can pick up a Lund boat at the factory and save the freight.
However, you still need to make the deal for the boat through a Lund dealer.
You also will need an engine or two, a trailer, and a lot of assembly.
Call Lund to get the numbers for the dealers near you.

35mph seems low with a 125HP. I am getting 45-47 (GPS) with my 135 Optimax on calm water with a full load, 40 gal of gas, 2 guys, and a 9.9 kicker hanging no the back (Oh yea, and my tackle bag which is a load in itself :-) ). Ballistic 19P stainless prop. My uncle has a 125 Merc 2+2 on a '99 1800 and gets low 40's..

What are you turning for RPM's?
