I am presently mounting another console graph. I plan on keeping my present console graph on also, at least temporarily, for back up.
I had mounted a transom 4 X 18" transducer mounting board on the back of my transom to minimize the "swiss cheese" effect of mounting multiple holes into the transom.
Both graphs are Lowrance units, with speed/temp indicators. The new transducer is a lowrance skimmer, while the older transducer is the older "preskimmer" style, with mounts flush against the transom.
My question is whether or not mounting the 2 transducers and 2 speed/temp units on the 4 X 18" mounting board will be just too close together? I am aware of cross talk and will not operate both graphs at the same time, but I am wondering if this will create too much water turbulence that will interfere with higher speed performance?
I measured it out, and each unit will be about 3 inches from the next.
The sequence of attachment from inboard side to outboard side will be
skimmer transducer, then the 2 speed temp gauges, then the older transducer.
Thanks for any insight.
