I have a Pinpoint trolling motor and I am thinking of replacing the Pinpoint mounting system with a Big Water Gator mount, I do not like the extender bracket. The Gator 2 is not for sale so it would be standard Gator, are these things durable? Any other comments appreciated.

I run an Excel series Motorguide ( 60" - 109lb thrust ) with a Gator 2 mount. If you have a long shaft I would pursue a Gator 2 mount. It is a heavy duty mount and I really like it. You may want to contact Motor Clinic in Mpls to see if they have any to sell or if they have information where you could get a Gator 2.
