I am looking for advice on Lund Dealers to go to. I would appreciate any advice if you have been satisfied with your recent purchase of a Lund Boat. I am in the market for a Mr. Pike/1775 Pro-V and would gladly travel to get a better price. Thanks again.

Terry McArdle out in Montana at www.townsendmarine.com is recognized universally as one of the best Lund dealers in the United States and a contributor to WC.

www.weilandmarine.com in Arlington, SD is also worth your time and energy, Dave Peterson is the owner. A long time ago I bought a used ProV from Dave and had a motor problem a few months later, Dave ended up having to put in a new lower unit, and did it all at his cost without any hassle on my part. In fact, he met me halfway to my house on both ends of the trip. THAT'S service after the sale.

Good Luck

Todd

I close personal friend of mine recently purchased a Lund dealership in Detroit Lakes, MN. Mike Miller is a well known area angler, and hosts radio fishing programs in the Fargo-Moorhead area. He's very articulate and his dealership will give you great service! DL Marine, 887-525-1273. Detroit Lakes in only 30 miles from the Lund mgf. plant in New York Mills, MN.

Hi John!
I recently purchased a 2002 lund 1850 tyee fully equiped.
paid almost $36,000 for the fishing package.
I have had nothing but problems from the get-go with the boat ,motor, and trailer.I have been in contact with Lund, Mercury, Presige, and the Dealer for 2 months and all of my issues have not been resolved. Talk about the monkey and the football senerio. If I knew 2 months ago what I know now I would go with my second choice "SYLVAN". Good luck to you John and hopefully if you buy a Lund you will have better luck than me.Lund has always been a quality boat it's ashame that the quality and workmanship is not there anymoer.
GOOD FISHING,
JIM

The Lund boat is a great boat...The DEALER are the ones you have to be carefull about. I had the worst dealer to deal with. The dealer could not figure out why the boat leaked. Refused to fix the leak and the dealer wanted me ( newbie to boating to find where the leak was!! (He just had to ship the thing back to Lund--Lund did fix it)....I filled the boat with water and found the leak. I had to use the bilge pump after a couple of hours in the water. The dealer was to put a trim sender from the motor to the panel and the dealer stated that a 50hp motor does no/cannot have a tilt/trim sender put on the pnael when LUnd had already installed the gauge on the panel.
After I spoke to Mercury did I find out that a trim sender can to put on the motor. The gas line the dealer gave me was an old browned out line compared to the new one I bought and installed as a back up This second gas line is still in better shape than the the one the dealer gave me with the boat. Do not sign on the bottom line until You have checked out the boat, the motor and other equipment to make sure it is new and kept well (no paint scratches).

Take Your time and choose well. The extra trip and time will be well spent.

I second "FHNB" advice. Mike is a great guy, he will treat you right. He beleives in taking care of his customer and is very concerned about what he delivers.

He has been fishing Lund boats for many years and knows them well. He has a personal relationship with the factory guys and I am confident he will deliver a top quality product.

I will be buying my next boat from him!

Hey ProV,
I am starting to look for my next boat. I have decided on the ProV IFS. Not sure about 1900 or 2025. I am leaning towards the 2025. I have a F115 on a crestliner 1850 now and would like to stick to the 4 stroke. Does Yam have any plans to come out with something between 115 and 225. What HP would you reccommmend for a 2025? My email is steve@edinahomeloans.com, ring me up.

Jim,
Are you the dealer in DeKalb? Is that who typed the memo to me?

No I,m not the dealer, just a happy customer. I live about 80 miles from the dealership in southern Cook county. I'm just recommending them. They treated me very well at the time of the sale and very well after the sale. They sell Lund & Yamaha and when you pick it up it's just what you ordered. Very nice job of rigging. Do yourself a favor and try them.

I second Bob's. Straight shooter and takes pride in what he sells. It is only a 4 hour drive from the Bay. His number is 815-756-7402 and asked for Chuck..

You said you would be willing to travel! call Soo Sports in Sioux Falls, SD--best deals in the midwest and they have the best riggers there are!!
You won't be disappointed. I just spoke to someone from New Mexico who purchased a boat from them!

John,

I recently purchased a Pro V from Soo Sports in SD. They rigged the boat professionaly, were competent when discussing options, never tried to force anything on me, and were also the best value by a margin over my local dealers.

If you want more details, I am happy to help.

Please email me brian@hanseaticgroup.com

Good luck,

John, I recommend Matteson Marine in Brutus, Michigan about 25 miles south of the bridge. I also would urge you to check out a Canadian Power Sports Marina in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Apples to Apples, the Canadians beat my best US deal by over 1700 green backs. Drawback is getting US dealers doing warranty work however I bought Lund and Yamaha 4 stroke knowing I'll never need warranty work. Give the canadians thoughtful consideration.

Several Great Lund dealers in the Fargo/Detroit Lakes area.

I agree that DL MArine does a nice job. I have not met Mike yet, but I just bought a new Lund 1850 from DL Marine this Spring. The did a nice job and I have been a happy camper all summer.

Another good one is Crystal Peirz(questionable spelling) Craig Schiedecher is the GM he has sold a lot of Lunds over the years. They also have a very strong working relationship with the Good people at Lund.

I have also heard the Big Dogs at Lund talk very highly of Rapid Sports in the Twin Cities area.

Good Luck!

I live in Escanaba, and like you was willing to travel. I checked throughout MI, WI and MN and ended up in Grand Rapids, MN at Ray's Marine. I bought my 18 foot Alaskan, 50 HP 4 stroke Honda and trailer at least $2,000 less than anywhere else I had priced. Some dealers wanted nearly $4M more than I paid. Love the boat.
Good luck.

I've purchased 2 Lunds from Ed's Boat Sales in Appleton WI and they've been great. Their prices beat all the dealerships I priced in Minnesota. Ask for John Stafford if you call.
