The meeting for the two day will be Saturday Morning at 6:00. This is a prequalified tourney and you must have accumulated 200 PTs
in a tournament in MISS SO or IOWA divisions. It does not need to be your home division, but you can only accumulate points for national championship if it is your home division. In other words if you are not in the Iowa or Miss South division you will just be fishing for money and trophys. Lawrence ecklor@hotmail.com

Stay home unless you need the points, the river is high, dirty and rising. The bite is deteriorating. Try Clear Lake...:-)

This is the Mississippi. Old Muddy. The idea of being a tournament fisherman is to adapt to and be sucessful in any kind of conditions as long as they are safe. Why is it that every time someone has a tourney in Dubuque, somebody jumps on and tells how bad the bite is ,and the conditions are and how everybody would be better off fishing somewhere else. Sorry but other folks will continue to share this resource and yes catch fish in "Impossible conditions". Sure maybe not 30 or 40 a day like Red Wing, or St. Louis river, or Lake of the Woods, but the idea is to catch just one more ounce than the other teams. About the only fishing I know thats a sure thing, is the trout tank at
the fishing show, or county fair. This comment is not directed towards you COMA. Lawrence

Lawerence, you're overreacting to my 1st post. If there is anything in that post that is not true, I'll apologize. However I wanted Val to know that the river was not in great shape before he drove 3 plus hours to find this out. As for the Dubuque pool, I love it. I've caught alot of fish in that pool over the years in tournaments and for fun and in all kinds of conditions. I will be there this weekend and fish the events and I plan on catching fish. But if I were going to Clear Lake and asked about the water/bite I would hope that COMA would do me the courtesy of giving me a truthful description and save me a 3 hour drive for marginal fishing. Good fishing. Dave
