Go with the Lund! You will never regret it. Good luck & Good fishing! Bob.

To be very honest, you'll love either boat. Sit in each and decide which fits your style of fishing best. Both motors are quality so either way your making a good decision there. The lund will likely have a slightly better resale value down the road, but after so long a boat doesn't depreciate much anyway. Have fun shopping, pick a reputable dealer!!!

I agree with waterfowler. I used an Alumacraft magnum 175 w/90 johnson on Erie all last year and I loved the boat. I traded this year for a 20' lund fisherman only because I wanted a bigger boat for Erie. If you are going to stay with that size boat (17.5') it's purely a matter of what you like. There are still things that I miss about my Alumacraft-its a quality boat! BTW when I traded it The dealer had it for only two weeks before it sold and a guy came 400 miles to buy it-I don't think you would have any problem selling it.
This is easy. A Lund with a Yamaha package? What's not to like?
Danny-It's no comparison...the Alumacraft T.P. is in different league. It will handle and stand up to much more rough water abuse. You would need to go to the Pro V to compare it to.As far as resale...the Alumacraft's resale is just as good as the Lund's in this part of MN.The last few years on Mille Lacs it looks like both Alumacraft and Crestliner are out selling Lunds.

Is the TP 175 worth the extra $2,000 or so over the Magnum 175? I'm looking at the tiller models. Thanks for your opinion! Spartan 23
