Need some help,when backtrolling with the big motor my x15 loss bottom almost always starts to read 2000ft. Have to turn unit off and start all over agian.

Doc Johnson has the same problem and thinks its created from turbulance off the big motor. His goes to 2000ft when he fires up the 225 for take off. It could be the turbulance created from your trolling motor. You might try mounting your transducers as far away from your motor as possible.

Have you updated your software to 2.1.0 that might help

There have been other posts on this board about this topic, but the answer to your problem is to take the unit off auto depth and auto sensitivity and it won't cycle real deep like you're experiencing. Good luck!
