I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with there windsheilds. I have a 2001 20 foot fisherman that i purchs=ased last november and have been having problems with it since I bought it. They screwd the window down instead of bolting it so it came off one day in my friends lap. Also the center section likes to fall to the inside. It really tics you off when you spend a lot of money on a quality name brand boat and have stupid things like this happen. I would like to hear some of your opinions and experiences.
Thanks

Just need to fix it right yourself. I had some problems on my Lund that should have never left the factory but I do not live anywhere close to a dealer to have them do anything. Next best thing? I fixed everything myself and now it is right and I know it is right. Sucks, that you pay a lot of money for something that should have been right to begin with.

Had the exact same problem at a tournament this past weekend. What is the best fix? If I bolt it down tight, would the hull flex in rough water and break the glass which has no flex?

I had the same issue with my Lund 1800 Fisherman, then I now have the same issue with my Lund Baron. I ended up using Locktite. I do not know if any of you out there have this issue too, but the screw on the lower right hand side of the passenger's front windshield likes to come loose when in rough conditions. I had to use a short 90 degree philips screw driver to tighten this screw. The angle is too tight to the vinyl on the passenger dashboard top. The last part sounds tacky, but it works. After I tightened the screw, I cut a 1 1/2 inch piece of duct tape (regular color) and placed it over the screw. Last time I tried this fix, I did not use the tape and I lost a screw. The locktite does not work alone. Needs a friend, and boy what a friend we all have in DUCT TAPE! I have not had a problem all summer now.
From what I understand, there are really two major windshield companies in the boat game. I hear the one that works with Lund is SLOW to get windshields out to dealers after the damage is done. Too bad.
