Price for a new skeg

Does anyone know how much it would cost to replace my skeg on a Merc 40 horse? Is it as simple as taking the old off and putting a new one on or are we talking the whole lower unit? Took the bottom 2 inches off and bent the rest. Seems to run fine and not leaking any oil.

dont worry , i took off about 2 in myself on a 75 hp merc it cost me 70 bucks cdn funds they simply weld on new alum and build it back up.....word of caution make sure they dont use any filler (bondo etc) the guy i go to doesnt paint the skeg just to show me no filler
