I'm thinking of buying a Lund Pro V 1800 SE so I can take my wife and daughter fishing for trout, crappie, perch, etc. and not have to worry so much about Ashley (daughter) falling out of my Ranger. I will be replacing the Ranger. I still want to be able to bass fish. Is this boat a good choice? I also want to take up walleye fishing so I would be putting a Suzuki 140 4-stroke on the boat. Opinions?

Great boat, too many good things to mention. Reputed to be the fastest of the Pro-V hulls. 140 horse on the back might be doing it a little dis-service though. Rated for 175...
Nice boat. That's what I'm running. I have a 5 year old daughter and a 2 year old daughter. My only advise would be to max it out on hp. I have a 175 efi on mine and I'd recommend dropping at least a 150 on the boat. Just my opinion. Since you are running a Ranger now, why not look into a Ranger 620VS? I realize it's a lot-o-cash, but it's an awesome rig :-).

I was thinking about this identical rig and am interested in hearing if anyone is running an 1800 Pro V IFS with the Suzuki DF 140. Is the hole shot OK? Top Speed?

I just picked up my 2003 1800 Pro-V IFS a few weeks ago. I strapped a Yamaha 150 V-Max HPDI on the back end. I need to put a few more hours on it to satisfy the break in period but so far I have been very impressed with the hole shot. She gets up and on plane in a big hurry. So far I really like the ride. We will have to see how she rides in the heavy seas. I will let you know the results after loading my buddies in the boat along with a full tank of fuel and the live wells filled.
