View Full Version : 12v Radio Running on 24v Batteries?
If I have batteries hooked up in 24 volts, can I run a 12 volt radio off of one of the batteries? Your help would be appreciated.

You want to run that radio off your start battery, not your troll batteries.

Yep you do'nt want anything on the trolling batteries but the motor. I also run the same type heavy duty deep cycle just for the gps. The gps pulls a lot of watts and the only thing that pulls on the starter battery is the radio and accessories.

To answer your question, yes you can. There are alot of things that run of your starting battery.
Check the plate on the radio...many can run on 8 to 35 volts.
