2 years ago I drove through Wyoming in August. We ran into a cloud of flying insects that upon hitting the windshield literally exploded almost white paint like substances all over. The wipers then coated the whole windshield making it impossible to see. I had glass cleaner and other cleaning agents with me that wouldn't touch them other than smear them around more. Good old Coca Cola finally cut it enough so we could drive on. What in blue blazes were these things!
