My 2001 opti 225hp came with a 21 pitch Tempest. It overreved at 5800 rpm. I now run a 23 Tempest at 5500-5600 rpm. This is the best prop I've found for speed. But, the High 5, 23 pitch, is awesome out of the hole for planing,(runs 5600-5700 rpm) great for pulling the kids on the tube, and 2 days ago I had 5 guys in it, 4 in the back 4 seats and one on the step between the counsels, and it planed great and still ran 48 on the gps. If I could only have one prop it would be the high 5, 23 pitch. Better to loose some top end than to not be able to plane. Just my opinion.Good Luck. Can any one else share what set up works the best for them?
