LAST EDITED ON Jun-09-01 AT 05:35PM (CST)[p]I have a Guest on board charger model #2616A that I am having a problem with, can you help me? The problem is this, I am charging two Batterie banks but one side is not charging so I end up with one fully charged battery and one dead battery rendering my 12/24 volt system useless. Had both batteries checked and are ok, What can I do? Is there something I can do the the charger itself or how can I check the charger? Please help and let me know, Thank You. one more thing the charger is only 1 and 1/2 years old

Hey LooseDrag,

Remove the charger from where it is mounted. On the back you will find four screws. Remove them and you will be able to remove the cover. Then check the 2 20 amp DC fuses as one of them may be blown. If that doesn't help, call me toll free at 1-888-483-7865 extension 135.

Have a great day!

Thanks Sue, I will try that first thing tomarrow and let you know. Another question is will this cause the green light to never go on also? The red light stays on allways and never turns green.I thank you for your promptness and reply. Keep up the good work

LooseDrag,

It is possible, however it could also be due to an internal component failure.

Hello Sue, I tried calling today but you were out. I took the back cover off and both fuses are ok. I had someone check the charger with a voltmeter and one bank is ok and the other bank is discharging instead of charging, Strange! What can I do, without it I am at a loss?

Skeeter,

The charger is taking way too long if it is a 2631. Check the following- the batteries to be sure that they will hold a charge, the charger to be sure it is operating correctly and all the electronics to be sure that nothing is on while you are charging.

LooseDrag,

Sorry about yesterday, I wasn't feeling well. Please send the charger in to me and I will have it checked out for you.

Have a great day!
