I just finished reading a post on this site that indicated you can get water in the exhaust of an Opti by riding down the backside of a wave. I have a 150 Opti which is straped to a 1st Generation Triton bass boat on a 6" jack plate raised 5". The boat has an inverted transom allowing the motor to trim much lower then top of the cowling level to the water or shall I say prop perpendicular to the surface. Because of its inverted position on the boat when not trimmed I notice that the exhuast port is just at the water surface and at times in unstable water, below the surface. As I come off plane as with any bass boat, the transom settles back down quickly into the water and drops the motor into the water substantially. It can imerse the bottom 4-6" of the rear of the cowling at times. The exhuast pressure appears to keep the water out but after reading the post refered to above, I'm concerned. Should I be?

I'm not trolling here. Just wanted to find out what's the scoop and how to avoid it. Thank you.
