The EPA just announced fiberglass boat manufacturing will be banned in 2003 for all watercraft under 30 meters in lenght.
Landfills and recycling centers will no longer accept any fiberglass , as it cannot be recycled.
Aluminum hulls, of course can be recycled just like beer cans.
Steel, aluminum, concrete, or wood constructed hulls will be available on the newest bass and walleye pro tournament models as early as this spring!
Glass boats are just not as kind to the environment.
CONCRETE AND STEEL WALLEYE BOATS! OH MY!

Au Contraire......"Glass" boats might just be the thing of the future! Recycle them beer bottles and make a Ranger Glass boat outta the reclaimed glass! Shine like the dickens, but just a skosh brittle. I knew I was drinkin' all those beers for somethin!!

Too many EPA restrictions...before you know it, we'll be driving cardboard boats with electric motors. THe solution is we have to start using liberal weenie "tree huggers" for Musky bait.

The funny or not so funny thing is for a second there I thought it could be so. That is how way out there they can be. I bet you my years pay check Wellstone would vote YES to ban glass boats for that reason and also because of "resin emissions" You know, those emissions can stay in you clothes and will harm the young children that come in contact with the poor worker. I feel we should ban the clothes that the resin workers ware. They harm the children! This will also get ride of the "toxic blue dye" they use in those uniforms too. Two birds with one stone

Dont worry about the ban.I have a answer for all the glass problems. When good old G. Bush gets done making Iraq into a glass refinery there will be no worries about the disposal of old glass.Just think of all those brainwashed people doing what they love to do,that is create glass. So send them all those old glass boats that are falling apart after a few years of service and let them deal with the trash. You see their is a answer for everything.Well maybe not everything.Do they have rocks in Iraq?Sorry my glass friends it just gets old listening to you bragg about your boats are better than mine saga.
