Quantum ACS Baitcast Reel

I am considering this reel to use for bottom bouncer rigs and wondered what people with experience think of it. Should I get the round model or the low profile and what gear ratio? Thanks for any help.

am anxious to see what responses you get. i first ordered this from Cabela's at xmas. they kept delaying ship time until they dropped the backorder in late feb. reordered from basspro. they too keep pushing the delivery back. latest is may 1. i assume the trouble is Quantum is not yet shipping but don't know that. i like Quantum and am sure it will be an excellent reel - whenever i get it. i intend to outwait them. have you seen it in a store? maybe they are stocking stores before mailorder.

I got the Accurast ACS low profile as a combo from Cabelas. It came with a one piece 6'6" XML medium fast tip rod. The reel has a flipping switch which is awesome for Bottom bumping! One hand on the tiller, one hand on my rod and reel.

I have used up to 1.5 ounce bottom bouncers and this rod definately has enough backbone for a hookset.

The combo was about $140. The rod alone cost that if purchased seperately, so it is a real good deal. Just my opinion, but check em out.
