I spend more than 60 days per year in motels or other lodging while on fishing trips to various parts of the country. I want clean conditions and comfortable beds but I require nothing fancy since I expect to spend very little time there.
I have seen recommendations for lodging on this board that I know are a bit pricey and in my opinion are the kind of place I might take my wife for a few days of fishing but cost too much for me and a fishing buddy to simply use to shower and sleep in.
I try to find two beds for two people for $50 or less per night.
What do you fishermen who spend comparable time away from home spend on average for a nights lodging?
