Merc 115

Talked to my dealer yesterday about Merc not selling the 115 4-stroke for 2003. He said that both his Yamaha and Mercury reps had stopped by in the past month, both having completely different stories as to why Merc would not market the 115. He didn't tell me what each said. Does anyone know what the factory reps themselves are telling dealers?

It's not that they are not selling them, It's that they can't supply the demand. I ordered one the last of August and it was supposed to
be here the first of October. When the first of October arrived my dealer called and said Mercury had sold all their 2003 allotment of the 115hp four stroke motors. He offered to substitute an Optimax 135hp but I told him I'd wait for the four stroke. Haven't got it yet!

Merc can't get the powerheads from Yamaha and yamaha has it's dealers on allocation since they're having trouble supplying their own demand for 2003.......
