Does anyone have any idea if Misty Harbor makes a quality Pontoon Boat? How do they compare to a Bennington? I ordered a 2285MS with a Yamaha 115 EFI, sounded like a good combination.

go to www.jdpa.com (jdpowers) then under specialty vehicles click on marine....then click power ratings... and choose pontoons.
they rank the major pontoon manufacturers and give a chart for some of the major needs of the pontoon owner and a customer satisfaction rating...
Misty harbor did well on the quality & reliability index...
Bennington won the JD powers award but I'm sure your misty was less money....

Hey buddy,
Sorry to tell you but a misty harbor is a realatively cheap built pontoon. That is the reason they are so much cheaper than the Bennington. However, Bennington is not the best built, Crest boats from Owosso MI are the king of all pontoons. You need to look at the construction from the floor down, not up, to know if they are good or not.

If you are looking for the best floor construction then look at Sun Tracker. There is NO WOOD in the floor. There are the offical potoon of Disney World. Millions go thru them that is how wellthey hold up. And the best priced. But if the boat you have an order on is what you like than there is nothing wrong with it. Douglas
Does anyone acutally OWN one of these pontoons? It would help the guy out.
