Just wanted to pass along a good word for Reed's Sporting Goods. Called up there looking at a new Lowrance X-65. List everywhere was $269.99. They sold the unit to me for $249.99/free shipping.
Not the first time I had an experience like this. These folks are also great for standing behind everything they sell.
(p.s. Does Jeff Arnold ever sleep?)
LAST EDITED ON Jun-12-01 AT 01:04PM (CST)[p]Just don't ever order decoys from Reeds over the internet. And when you are promised a call back, don't hold your breath.
I'm glad you got good service and are happy.

I concur. I bought a Eagle Status for $100 less than everywhere I looked. They still have the price listed on their webpage. In fact, you can get the status cheaper than you can buy the Journey which are identical units except the Status has the Sonar with transducer included!

And don't ever order a rod and reel combo from them over the internet. They claimed they coud not read the credit card number. They called to get it and when my wife told them she would not give it to them over the phone they became rude. They called back two more times and would not take no for a answer. I am done with them.

Glad you got good service. I agree with a couple of the other psots above about bad sevice. To make a long story short they screwed me and a gun dealer on a gun deal. A very long story but if any hunters want to know what happened I will email the story. I will not buy from them again. They are no better than anybody elee in the business. Maybe Jeff needs some sleep!!

REEDS SPORTING GOODS AND EXCELLENT SERVICE! the two go together.
one more specific example; i needed a wiring harness for an apelco radio and they did not have a seperate harness. jeff said, take the harness from a box and sell it seperately. they were very fair about the price and the service was once again excellent.
i really appreciate the crew at Reeds. thanks for everything guys.
another example, my buddy had warranty problems with a piece of electronics during a tourney this year and they were more than accomodating. Reeds went above and beyond what he ever expected for service.
thanks again.

I just ordered a Garmin Map76 for the best price I have found yet, at Reeds. Hopefully it makes it to me without any problems. Jeff also offered to delay billing 1 month.
After talking to him I'm not suprised by the posts here. I will be extra cautious when ordering from there in the future. I'll just have to wait and see how this deal finishes first.
