I bought an older 14'alum. boat cheap, on an auction today. It has had little use, to the point of being ignored. When I got it home I pulled the wood bench seats off, under the seats are sealed alum tanks that are supose to provide the floatation. I suspect the boat has been frozen 1/2 full of water, the hull is sound but these seat tanks have split seams. Is there some kind of liquid foam, that could be added? The kind you get to seal cracks in the house foundation doesn't seem to have good floatation to me.
