I'll take a shot in the dark here and suggest that the 135 is for the tiller model and the 175 is for a console model with steering wheel. Just my guess, mabye someone else can say for sure.

I think that the pro v 1800 in a tiller only takes a 90hp. Anyone else have a clue?

The hp rating on a Pro V 1800 tiller is 90 hp, and on the wheel boat it is 175.......the 135 plate is a mistake. Take the boat back to the dealer and tell him about it and he will remove it. If you do have a tiller boat, take it back and let the dealer know, and he will put the right plate on it. Having the incorrect plate on the boat is not legal.....they made the mistake, but now you have to correct it.

I bought this boat out of town so taking it back to the dealer is out of the question. The lower plate says something about safe hp is 135 and the other says 175hp max and these tags look factory to me. Does anyone else have a 2000 pro v ifs with these two tags.
