Pro V Topset

Have a 2000 1800 Pro V IFS. When I first got it I had the enclosed topset on it and it fit fine. Was trying to put it on today to do a little night fishing this weekend and it seems like it has shrunk or something. Its fitting very tight , not sure if I'm going to get it on like it should be. Any experiences like this out there?

Yep.
When new they are really tight. Especially if it is cold!
If put up and left up for a few days they loosen up. Especially if it is warm.
When cold they are always tighter than when warm.
