Talk about some tough friendly competition!
Every team went out and did their thing, and when the last boat was loaded and the fish were weighted here's how the chips fell for the top five.
1st Place: Jason Coester and Corey Fields 15.93 lbs. $872 in greenbacks. 2nd place: Duane Mahnke and Cliff Steack 15.02 lbs and $630. 3rd Place: Troy Anderson and Steve Jensen 14.72 lbs and $496. 4th Place: Chad Voelsch and Charles Swartz 14.40 and $465. 5th Place: Rolfe Behrend and Jason Stotz (USFA National Champions in 2000) 14.21. Twelve teams weighed over ten pounds of fish with a five fish limit allowing only two over 20 inches and a slot of 16 to 20 inches! Complete results can be found by seeing our web site at ww.worldwalleye.com. I wish to complement everybody who participated in the event, and want to remind them that ever tournament is a new beginning. Good luck at our July Tournament!
